This year's edition is set to etch its name in the annals of history with a remarkable lineup that includes the "Princess of Africa," Yvonne Chaka Chaka, the Hiplife luminary Obrafuor, Highlife legend George Jahraa, and the soulful maestro Kwabena Kwabena.
The African Legends Night has become synonymous with celebrating the musical genius and contributions of African legends, and this year is no different. Each of these legends boasts a unique style and profound musical influence, ensuring that the audience will be captivated in an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
Yvonne Chaka Chaka, affectionately known as the "Princess of Africa," has graced the global music stage with her powerful vocals and timeless hits for decades. Songs like Umqombothi have transcended borders, solidifying her status as a beloved African icon. Beyond her musical prowess, Yvonne Chaka Chaka is renowned for her philanthropic work and advocacy for social causes.
Obrafuor, fondly referred to as the "Rap Sofo" of Ghana, is a trailblazer in the hiplife music genre. His thought-provoking lyrics and innovative style have garnered him a devoted following across Africa, and he continues to be an influential figure in the Ghanaian music industry.
George Jahraa, a towering figure in the highlife genre, gained prominence with his debut album Driver-Banza"in 1990, featuring hit tracks like Sanukade, Ashikele, and Asor. His electrifying stage presence resonates with audiences.
