The Continent Live, known for its transformative work in nurturing emerging talent in Africa, has spearheaded impactful initiatives in Ghana over the past year. This partnership with Afrofuture marks an exciting evolution, as both entities share a common goal: empowering the next generation of African stars and providing them with the tools to shine on the global stage.
The Rising Star Challenge has continued to grow since its inception, with hundreds of talented artistes from various African nations participating each year. Notably, the program has been instrumental in promoting women in music, with previous winners like Bleau and Ess the Legend becoming inspiring success stories. As we look forward to the 2024 edition, the competition promises to unveil even more extraordinary talent, making this the most anticipated year yet.
Afrofuture and The Continent Live remain deeply committed to building a thriving creative community. The Rising Star Challenge provides an invaluable opportunity to spotlight Africa's future music legends and empower them to make a mark on the global music scene.
The Afrofuture Rising Star Challenge 2024 will officially launch on October 3, 2024, with applications open until October 17, 2024. Contestants will be evaluated based on audience engagement and reposts across social platforms. The Top 10 contestants will be selected to advance, and from there, the Top 5 finalists will participate in an exclusive writing camp, collaborating with prominent artists and producers.
The grand winner will earn the opportunity to perform live at Culture Jam 2024 and receive a cash prize to further support their musical career. Additionally, the winner will benefit from year-long mentorship and support from experts within Afrofuture and The Continent Live’s network to refine their artistry, performance, and brand.
Since its establishment, Afrofuture has remained committed to amplifying Africa's rich cultural and creative scene by empowering the continent's emerging artists.
