Nigerian singer and rising fashion icon Ayra Starr made a debut on the runway, closing Di Petsa’s Autumn/Winter 2025 show during London Fashion Week on February 20, 2025. The collection, titled Reflections of Desire, delved into themes of female sexuality and the reclamation of the feminine gaze in art and fashion.  



Ayra Starr graced the runway in a breathtaking ensemble featuring a cropped, asymmetrical lace top with a high neckline that wrapped elegantly around her neck. The delicate lace flowed seamlessly into a sheer, draped skirt with an asymmetrical cut, creating a dreamy, water-like effect. A lace waistband added a touch of romance, while white pointed-toe shoes completed the look.  

The runway presentation featured models embodying diverse archetypes of femininity, with designs showcasing sensual cut-outs, effortless draping, and figure-hugging silhouettes in romantic hues of white and red. Textures played a significant role, with feathers, lace, and body-skimming beads manipulated through ruching, pinching, and slashing techniques.  

Ayra Starr’s transition from music to modeling was met with widespread acclaim, with many praising her ethereal beauty and confidence on the runway.   Her appearance at London Fashion Week marks a significant milestone in her burgeoning career, highlighting her versatility and expanding influence in the fashion industry.

The Di Petsa show also featured notable appearances by Mia Khalifa, Anissa Kermiche, and Tsunaina, further emphasizing the brand’s commitment to celebrating diverse representations of femininity.  

Ayra Starr’s successful runway debut has sparked discussions about her potential future endeavors in modeling, with fans and industry insiders eager to see what new heights she will reach next.
