Bobby Kim, widely known as Bobby Hundreds, has been appointed as the Vice President of Creative for the Americas at Disney Consumer Products. In this role, Kim will oversee the creative direction of licensed merchandise and theme park products across the Americas, encompassing items such as apparel, toys, games, and more.
Kim co-founded the influential streetwear brand The Hundreds in 2003 alongside Ben Shenassafar, establishing a significant presence in the fashion industry over the past two decades. His creative influence extends beyond apparel; he is also a bestselling author, screenwriter, producer, and founder of Family Style, a festival that uniquely merges fashion with food.
This appointment marks a full-circle moment for Kim, as The Hundreds first collaborated with Disney in 2008.
Marcus Rosie, Disney’s Senior Vice President of Global Creative, commented on Kim’s appointment, saying, “With more than 20 years of experience, Bobby’s creativity and cultural influence transcends fashion. His commitment to innovation and authenticity makes him the ideal candidate to lead our Americas creative teams, as we continue to surprise and delight consumers through our licensed, theme parks, and Disney Store businesses.”
In his new position, Kim will report directly to Rosie and will be instrumental in shaping the creative strategies for Disney’s consumer products, ensuring that the brand continues to resonate with audiences across diverse markets.
This strategic move underscores Disney’s commitment to infusing fresh perspectives into its creative endeavors, aiming to blend contemporary cultural elements with its timeless appeal.
