The 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) National Championship is getting nearer and near, anticipation and excitement are building up. This highly anticipated school quiz competition is set to return in grand style, with schools from across Ghana preparing for the intense national championship battle.

Over 100 schools have entered the competition, all vying for the  trophy and top honors. Out of these schools, 27 schools have already secured their place in the one-eighth stage of the national championship. The Centre for National Culture (CNC), UCC Auditorium 900, and the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Auditorium will serve as the venues for the intellectual face-off in the preliminary and one-eighth stages, where all participating schools will gather for the quiz

The 2024 NSMQ will be officially launched, alongside the balloting for the preliminary stage, at the New GNAT Hall on October 1 at 3 PM. The preliminary rounds are scheduled to take place from October 14 to October 17. Schools that progress beyond the one-eighth stage will advance to the quarter-finals and semi-finals, which will be held at the SGS Auditorium. The competition will climax in a grand finale at the New Education Centre (NEC).

The 2024 NMSQ is produced by Primetime Limited and is sponsored by the Ghana Education Service in collaboration with Goil PLC. The event will be broadcasted on JoyNews and Joy Prime, with additional support from sponsors including Vitamilk, NASCO, German Ozone Medical Center, Royal Foam, Jamaa Soap, Heritage Christian College, Virtual Security Africa, Ace Medical Insurance, Chopbox Technologies, Sintex Tank, DBS, Built Financial Technologies, Beta Malt, and Family Health University College.
