Lynx entertainment artiste DSL was on the UNPACKIN. segment of the Culture Daily Show with Lerny Lomotey and spoke about his career, influences and entrance into the Ghanaian music scene.
Speaking on his infuences, he revealed growing up on Reggae music, to which he was introduced by his father. To DSL, music is an avenue for self-expression and the most viable platform to address social issues, and generally any issues of pertinence.Although he cited reggae as an influence, he does not limited himslef to the genre and likes to explore other genres as well.
According to DSL, months after his signing, his career has been taking off smoothly especially with the feedback received from the general public and some key industry players. Still speaking on the matter, he revealed that having the backing of LYNX Enteratinment has made things a lot easier as compared to when he was at home and on his own. The work has been smooth and things are done in cohesion with a plan and potential.
He also spoke on his 12 minute-4-track EP, BACK TO THE ROOTS which he used to address subjects which are of importance to him, or what he referred to as conscious songs. According to him, he felt like the four songs were okay and catered to the attention span of his audience, taking into consideration the themes being touched on.
