Luxury liquor brand Hennessy has been instrumental and heavily involved in the promotion of the hiphop culture and genre. They have also been very active in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the genre, coordinating a number of cyphers with some of the most talented and gufted african lyricists showcasing Africa's grasp on the genre.
Amidst the release of a number of cyphers from various brands, outlets and platforms, Hennessey has released their latest cypher from Nigeria with rappers, Ladipoe, Vector, Blaqbonez and Zlatan Ibile. The video comes days after the BET released their cyphers in the commemoration of HipHop's 50th creating a buzz coupled with a flood of comments from fans and African rap enthusiasts who have had a field day since these releases, comparing their favorite rappers and the respective rappers from the different African countries who have represented in the various cyphers.
The Hennessy cypher has generated so much conversation due to the quality displayed the the selected rappers. Earlier in the year, the brand released one featuring M.I Abaga, M.anifest, A-Reece,Vector and some other very notable rappers from Africa, bur it seems the latest cypher has somewhat come out on top in comparison with the rest.
