Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for Heads of State, an upcoming action-comedy starring Idris Elba and John Cena as rival world leaders forced into an unlikely alliance. The film is set to premiere globally on July 2nd, 2025, exclusively on Prime Video.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Nobody, Hardcore Henry), Heads of State follows UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Elba) and U.S. President Will Derringer (Cena), whose public rivalry jeopardizes their nations’ “special relationship.” When a powerful foreign adversary targets them, the two leaders must rely on each other to thwart a global conspiracy. They are joined by MI6 agent Noel Bisset, portrayed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

The film also features Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Carla Gugino, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, and Richard Coyle. The screenplay is penned by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, and Harrison Query.

Heads of State marks a reunion for Elba and Cena, who previously co-starred in The Suicide Squad. Their on-screen chemistry is expected to bring a blend of action and humor to this high-stakes adventure.

The film will be available to stream on Prime Video starting July 2nd, 2025.
