J. Cole's recent visit to Queens, New York, has once again shown that he's a man of the people. The Dreamville boss was seen attending an aspiring rapper's listening session in the projects, where he took time to listen to the young artiste's new material. Ty Trilly, the rapper, posted a video of Cole nodding his head and listening intently to his song in a packed-out lobby.
In the video, J. Cole can be heard giving the young rapper some words of wisdom and motivation saying, "Shoot the video, put that b**** out, it's gonna land on the people it's supposed to land on."
The Queens rapper took Cole's advice and released the song in question, Adapt, on SoundCloud.
Cole also spent time advising Ty Trilly's crew on how to get their movement off the ground. He made it known to them that they already have a network going on with what they have just began.
This is not the first time J. Cole has shown love to artistes on the come-up. Earlier this year, he dropped a song called Procrastination (Broke), which he found on YouTube. Rather than releasing it on major streaming platforms, Cole allowed the song's producer, Bvtman, to upload it to his YouTube channel and reap the financial rewards.
J. Cole's visit to Queens shows that he is always willing to lend a helping hand to young artistes trying to make it in the music industry. His words of wisdom and encouragement will undoubtedly inspire many aspiring rappers to keep chasing their dreams.
