Kofi Jamar’s sophomore career body of work, “Appetite For Destruction” has earned him the number 5 spot on top albums chart on Apple Music Ghana 24 hours after it debuted.
Ranking amongst “Certified Lover Boy” by Drake, “Donda” by Kanye West, “The Melodic Blue” by Baby Keem, “Made In Lagos” deluxe by Wizkid, the project becomes the only Ghanaian representative in the top 5 list and also making him Ghana’s youngest talent to break into the Apple Music’s chart few hours after releasing a project.
As a follow-up to 2020’s “Ekorso”, his asakaa drill street anthem, Ghanaian rapper Kofi Jamar delivers with a six-track sophomore EP that further reveals his ambition. Interchanging genres throughout, he dips into Afrobeats alongside Nigeria’s Teni on “Surrender”, and soulful hip-hop on “Meye Gee”, a nod to those who’ve stuck by him, and “What I Mean”, where he reflects on the challenges of the daily hustle.
