Medikal Talks Planning And Plotting And Late Release

Ghanaian rapper Medikal was on the 3Music Tv's Culture Daily show on Monday the 13^th of November 2023 and had a conversation with the culture squad on his album, life, career and many other things. Speaking to Jay Foley and the culture squad, he touched on reasons for the delay of his album and what informed his creative process and direction.

According to Medikal, artistes usually deal with the pressure and stresses of song selection for a project, this he said stems from the endless supply of good and even better music and sometimes, ear fatigue. He stated, "sometimes after recording, you are certain that a particular song is going on a project, but after numerous recording sessions, songs and familiarity with the previous recordings, it becomes almost difficult settling on which song would or should go on a project."

PLANNING AND PLOTTING, according to Medikal proper encapsulates the stage he is at in his life, where he is focused on figuring life out with regards to his music, his personal life, investments and career amongst other things. This he claims has influenced the direction of his project which can also be clearly seen in the direction of the art, On the cover of his Planning and Plotting album, he is captured donning a suit which is usually used to signify business.

Medikal also revealed that he wanted to make sure he had all the right materials and the right songs to make the project what it is and owing to the availability of extra options, he decided to release the project and later release a deluxe version of it which will have other amazing songs which deserve to be heard by the fans and the general audience.
