Barely two months after the gun-toting saga which led to a suspension and had the internet going wild, Memphis Grizzlies Point Guard Ja Morant has been suspended yet again for another video which has since gone viral in which he was seen briefly flashing what looked like a gun.
The Memphis Grizzlies announced on Sunday morning that the PG had been suspended from all activities pending League review with a spokesperson from the NBA revealing that more information was being sought pertaining to the incident.
In an Instagram live video which was streamed the day
before, Morant is seen to be having fun with a friend in a car to the
background music of NBA Youngboy, seconds after which the camera pans to him
momentarily, flashing what appears to be a gun right before the camera is
turned away from him.
The video began to make rounds on social media after fans recorded the moment leading to an uproar especially being barely three months after his initial gun-toting incident which led to an 8-game suspension without pay.
He was however allowed to return after inconclusive results on ownership of the gun and his enrollment in a counseling program. There were also no charges after police investigations.
Thus far the Grizzlies have remained mute on issues
surrounding the video as the public awaits further reports.
