Nigerian superstar, Rema, is trending on social media again for reaching another career milestone. The 23-year-old musician who has only been in the entertainment industry for a relatively short period of time has continued to achieve great success. On November 14, 2023, Rema held a concert at the highly-coveted O2 Arena in London and sold out the iconic venue. The popularity of AFROBEATS was further solidified on the night as Rema, who had initially performed at the O2 Arena concert for the first time when Burna Boy brought him on stage at his own concert, also gave other artistes the opportunity to do so at his concert.
The night was an electrifying one with the energy levels sustained from the very first to the last performance on the night. Some of the artistes who performed on the night include, Victony who took to the stage as one of the opening acts of the night, performing his hit songs for many to enjoy. KCee was also present on the night to take the fans on a journey with his OJAPIANO wave which is far from fading out anytime soon.
The Mavin princess, Ayra Starr, was also present on the night and performed her Grammy-nominated song RUSH whilst doing what she does best with medleys and acoustic performances. Crayon also performed his song NGOZI, which is arguably one of his best songs of 2023,
The final spectacle was when the Mavin All-Stars took to the stage. The group of talented singers and rappers captured the attention and upped the energy with their hit song WON DA MO on the night. A video later surfaced on social media of Rema receiving a plaque for being able to sell out the 20,000 seater venue. In the video, the DUMEBI crooner, who is also the youngest Nigerian to perform at the O2, was all smiles as he received his plaque with others gathering to celebrate him including Mavin signee, Crayon, who popped a bottle of champagne.
