Ghanaian rapper and musician Romeo Tevie, popularly known as Romeo Swag, recently collaborated with Fusena Iddrisu, also known as Hajia Cisse, to successfully launch their first training session on soap and detergent making. This initiative, held in Mamprobi, aimed to empower local communities by teaching participants valuable skills in the production of household cleaning products. The event attracted a diverse group of attendees, ranging from young adults to older women, all eager to learn and develop new trades.
The workshop was not only a hit with the participants but also received support from notable figures in the music industry. Among the supporters were the musical duo Lali X Lola, who made a special appearance to encourage and motivate those present. Their participation added an extra layer of excitement to the event, further highlighting the community spirit surrounding this initiative.
Romeo Swag took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the overwhelming support, writing, "The soap and detergent training was a success! Thanks to all who helped, especially Hajia Cisse, for making this dream come true." This successful launch marks the beginning of what Romeo Swag and Hajia Cisse hope will be a continuing effort to uplift their community through skill development and entrepreneurship.
The initiative not only showcased the potential for creating sustainable livelihoods but also underscored the importance of community-driven projects. As the first of many planned sessions, this workshop sets a precedent for future events, aiming to reach even more people and expand the scope of training to include other essential skills. With such a positive reception, Romeo Swag and Hajia Cisse are poised to make a lasting impact on the lives of many in Mamprobi and beyond.
