Jamaican sensation Shenseea captivated audiences during her debut appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this past Tuesday. Performing at NBC’s iconic Studio 6B, Shenseea, accompanied by three talented backup singers, delivered electrifying renditions of KEEP A PLACE and NEVA NEVA, both tracks from her recently released album, NEVER GETS LATE HERE.
This isn't Shenseea's first foray into late-night television. She previously graced the stage of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2022, marking her initial step into the spotlight of American late-night shows.
Her latest album, NEVER GETS LATE HERE, is currently in its third week on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, holding strong at the No. 10 spot after peaking at No. 4. The album showcases Shenseea's versatility and includes a mix of solo tracks and collaborations.
The standout single from the album, HIT & RUN featuring Masicka, has become a major hit, amassing over 56 million views on YouTube and 14 million plays on Spotify since its release in January 2024. The album's rollout has been strategic and well-received, with subsequent singles DIE 4 YOU released in March, and NEVA NEVA in May. Additionally, the collaboration FLAVA with Coi Leray, released late last month, has further cemented Shenseea’s position in the music industry.
NEVER GETS LATE is an impressive project, executively produced by the renowned London On Da Track. The album also features contributions from a stellar lineup of producers including C. Tricky Stewart, Supa Mario, Dwayne Supa Dups Chin-Quee, Stephen Di Genius McGregor, Chimney Records, Banx and Ranx, and Rvssian. This diverse array of talent has helped create a rich and dynamic sound that is propelling Shenseea to new heights.
Shenseea's rise in the music industry continues to be meteoric, and her recent performances and successful album releases are solidifying her status as a global superstar. Her ability to captivate audiences with her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence makes her a force to be reckoned with.
