Popular Ghanaian celebrity blogger and influencers Sika Official and comedian MadeInGhana graced the studios of 3Music Tv, making an appearance on the Big Conversation with Jay Foley, Olele Salvadore, Lerny Lomotey and C-Real, the culture squad earlier in the week. The social media influencers were present off the back of the just ended 2023 Pulse Influencer Awards, where they both won awards in their respective fields.
Speaking on the execution and success of their jobs, they cited the need to employ humor and reference while being fully aware of varying situations and personalities of colleagues and competitors. The two however made it clear that they had attained their level of success employing humor and consistency. Like every other thing that exists, not every thing is rosy and without its downside.The two influencers touched on the negative aspects of their job especially with regard to some of the negative comments and feedback which tend to affect their state of mind, being creatives who care deeply about what they create and share with the rest of the world.
MadeInGhana, stated categorically how it has led to bouts of depression for some of the creatives within the industry, going ahead to cite instances of fellow creatives who go off social media altogether to avoid having to deal with the negativity to enable them to be able to continually deliver in their work.
They also spoke briefly on potential policies being considered by government that could in effect affect their flow of their work. However the two were of varied opinions with different perspectives on the potential implementation of the said policy which threatens to latch itself onto their income. Although divided on the matter, the consensus from the conversation suggested that they would have no issue with its implementation as long as due diligence is done.
