Spotify Spotlights Ghanaian Musician Øbed as Fresh Finds Africa Cover Star for July
Accra-based Ghanaian musician and SuperJazzClub frontman Øbed has been selected by Spotify as the Fresh Finds Africa cover star for July 2024. This recognition comes with the feature of his latest single, SUNDAYS, on the Fresh Finds Africa playlist, which boasts 59 tracks for the month.
SUNDAYS, a bossa nova track from Øbed's forthcoming EP, AIR PISCINE, set to release on July 26th, 2024, exudes warmth and cheerfulness, inviting listeners to unwind and enjoy the leisure of weekends.
As part of Spotify's initiatives like RADAR and EQUAL, Fresh Finds Africa provides a platform for emerging independent artists like Øbed to reach new audiences and access tools and initiatives that foster long and successful careers.
Øbed, a passionate advocate for pushing the alternative culture and scene, is also a co-founder of the Ghanaian collective SuperJazzClub.
