Tom
Brady seems to be the target of rumours all the time. When you consider who he
is, it makes obvious why this would be the case. The seven-time Super Bowl
champion is a legend and it appears he will never retire from sports. Fans do
not believe him despite his second retirement this summer. This is reasonable,
given that he unretired the first time. While Brady has stated that his
decision is final, the rumour mill is still churning.
For
instance, on The Rich Eisen Show, there was a rumour floating around that Brady
wanted to come back. In truth, he would like to play for the Miami Dolphins,
with whom he has previously been linked. These rumours felt true since it is
difficult to picture Brady leaving the league. In addition, Brady's quietness
on the subject was deafening. Brady has since emerged from hibernation to
provide supporters with an update on what's going on.
Simply
put, you should not anticipate Brady to return to the league in the near
future. Brady remarked in the tweet above, "Anyone who thinks I have time
to return to the NFL has never adopted a 2-month-old kitten for their
daughter." Brady adopted two siamese cats this summer and they certainly
consume a large portion of his time. However, we believe he is primarily joking
here as cats are unlikely to be the deciding factor for his return. Regardless,
Brady seemed to want to unwind, and playing football again contradicts that.
Only time will tell whether he follows through on his first choice.
Brady,
45, is coming off a season in which he was not especially successful. Despite
certain flashes of brilliance, retirement appears to be the wisest decision for
him at this time. Based on his recent comments, he appears to be aware of this.
