In the aftermath of a judge granting Megan Thee Stallion’s restraining order request against Tory Lanez, the rapper’s lawyer, Michael Hayden, has commented on the controversial 2022 music video for CAP. According to Hayden, he doesn’t believe Lanez will create a music video like that again, acknowledging its provocative nature.
The CAP video, cited in Megan’s legal filings, drew significant attention for its imagery, including scenes where Lanez appears to butcher horse legs—an apparent reference to Megan—and raps lyrics like, “Bi***es tryna end me so I cannot be polite,” while standing outside a courthouse.
Hayden admitted the video went too far, stating, “He shouldn’t be doing stuff like that — yeah, that was a little harsh.”
This development comes as tensions between the two artistes continue to escalate. Megan’s restraining order petition highlighted the video as part of her argument for legal protection, citing it as evidence of Lanez’s hostility and potential harm.
The case marks yet another chapter in the ongoing legal battle between the two stars, which has captivated the public and drawn attention to the boundaries of creative expression and accountability in the music industry.
