Tyron Akpata Signs First Professional Contract with West Ham United

West Ham United is thrilled to announce that 17-year-old midfielder Tyron Akpata has signed his first professional contract with the Club.


Akpata, who joined the Hammers at U15 level, has been an integral part of the youth setup, helping the U18 side win the U18 Premier League South and FA Youth Cup double in 2022/23.


The British-Nigerian midfielder expressed his excitement about starting a new chapter as a professional footballer.


Akpata's new contract represents a significant milestone in his young career, and Academy Manager Kenny Brown praised the youngster's on-field attributes and character.
