In a shocking turn of events, the Vetting Committee of the University of Ghana Students' Representative Council (UGSRC) has disqualified two leading candidates, Maradona Adjei Yeboah 'Guru' and Lawrence EdinamEgleh, from contesting in the 2024 elections.

The decision comes after it was revealed that both candidates do not meet the residential requirements set by the UGSRC constitution.

Guru and Manuel Life, who were front-runners in the UniversOnlinePoll, will no longer be eligible to contest for any position in the upcoming elections.

The disqualification has sent shockwaves through the university community, with many students expressing disappointment and surprise at the news.

The UGSRC Vetting Committee's decision is final and binding, and the disqualified candidates will not be allowed to participate in the electoral process.
