Usher Concludes O2 Arena Residency with Spectacular Finale
Usher
Usher brought his Past Present Future tour to a dazzling close at London’s O2 Arena, delivering a performance that celebrated his three-decade career and left fans in awe.

The concert was structured into ten distinct acts, each representing different phases of Usher’s musical journey. From early hits like Call Me a Mack to recent tracks from his 2024 album Coming Home, the setlist showcased his evolution as an artist. Highlights included Yeah!, U Got It Bad, Love In This Club, and There Goes My Baby. The show also featured a poignant moment where Usher interacted with a simulated version of his younger self, reflecting on his career and legacy.

Adding to the night’s excitement, supermodel Naomi Campbell made a surprise appearance during the performance of BAD GIRL. Dressed in a sparkling silver mini dress, Campbell transformed the stage into a runway, captivating the audience. Despite her extensive experience on international catwalks, she admitted to feeling nervous before the performance, agreeing to participate due to her close friendship with Usher.

Usher’s finale was not only a musical journey but also a visual feast. The stage was transformed into a Las Vegas-style spectacle, complete with roller-skating routines, elaborate costume changes, and interactive moments. Notably, Usher donned a bespoke Union Jack jacket and trousers by Mowalola, among other designer outfits, enhancing the show’s visual appeal.

Critics praised the show for its dynamic blend of nostalgia and innovation. The Guardian described it as “completely preposterous and preposterously entertaining,” noting Usher’s ability to seamlessly merge classic hits with contemporary flair. The Times highlighted the performance’s “chaotically entertaining” nature, drawing parallels to Michael Jackson’s showmanship.

With the conclusion of his O2 Arena residency, Usher continues to solidify his status as a consummate performer. The Past Present Future tour, which has spanned multiple continents and featured numerous sold-out shows, stands as a testament to his enduring appeal and artistic evolution.
