Asantehene Donates GH₵500,000 to Support Ga Education Fund

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has donated GH₵500,000 to support the education of underprivileged Ga Dangbe. The announcement was made during a grand durbar held in his honor by the Ga State, led by the Ga Mantse, Nii Teiko Tsuru II.

This durbar marks a significant occasion, being part of the first historic visit by the King of Ashanti to the Ga State since 1946. The Asantehene expressed his gratitude to the Ga State for their warm reception and called for unity among the Ga and Ashanti people, as well as among all chiefs in the country.

The Asantehene also expressed his appreciation to Nii Teiko Tsuru II for the support shown during his 25th-anniversary celebrations, noting that this donation was a reciprocal gesture. This donation is expected to have a significant impact on the education of underprivileged Ga Dangbe children, and is seen as a symbol of the growing unity and co-operation between the Ashanti and Ga States.
