Ghanaian musician, Worlasi, on 3Music TV's morning show, Culture Daily, shared insights into his artistic music journey. Worlasi spoke about transitioning between different sounds over the past two years finally findind a new version of himself through his craft.
During the interview, Worlasi also admitted that his previous body of work was mediocre and he needed to push himself to create something truly awesome. It was at this point that he revealed how rapper E.L’s BAR VI had inspired him to create an all-rap project, THE.RAP.Y.
Worlasi spoke highly of E.L's dedication to his craft, saying, "This man is still rapping like he wants you to understand that this is what I love, this is what I’m good at and you cannot do it like me. And I also want to do some, so I did some."
He further emphasized that E.L's inspiration had opened doors for him, including receiving funding for his next show from Mental Health Organizations. Worlasi also discussed his roots in the Afro-soundscape and how he started rapping before singing.
He acknowledged the challenges that many artistes face, as they start to focus on earning money instead of pursuing their passion. But with the inspiration of E.L’s music, Worlasi is forging a new path for himself, staying true to his artistry and pushing himself to create great music. Overall, Worlasi's interview highlighted the importance of inspiration and the power of music to inspire and motivate artistes to pursue their dreams.
