Billionaire Larry Connor to Embark on Titanic Expedition in Submersible

Billionaire real estate investor Larry Connor is set to embark on an extraordinary journey to the Titanic shipwreck site in a submersible vessel. Partnering with Patrick Lahey, CEO of Triton Submarines, Connor aims to prove that ocean exploration can be safe and enjoyable.

The expedition will take the submersible 3,800 feet into the ocean, near the historic shipwreck site. Connor, who has a history of pushing boundaries, having traveled to space and flown in a fighter jet, wants to show the world that the ocean can be "wonderful and enjoyable" if approached correctly.

This expedition comes less than a year after the OceanGate company's submersible, TITAN imploded, highlighting the risks involved in ocean exploration. However, Connor and Lahey are determined to demonstrate that with the right approach, such expeditions can be safe and successful.
