Controversy Erupts Over Stonebwoy's 5th Dimension Concert Stadium Payment
Chief Abiola

The highly anticipated 5th Dimension Concert by Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy has taken an unexpected turn as conflicting reports emerge regarding the payment for the Accra Sports Stadium. A dispute over the amount paid has arisen between Stonebwoy's manager, Chief Abiola, and Peter Twumasi, the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA). The controversy has stirred discussions about the transparency of financial transactions related to the event.

During a session with the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, Peter Twumasi stated that Stonebwoy paid GH₵70,000 for securing the stadium. However, Chief Abiola contradicted this claim in an interview on Hitz FM, asserting that they had paid an amount exceeding the reported GH₵70,000.

"I was delegated by Stonebwoy to lead the negotiations and payment of the stadium. I can also tell you for a fact that yes, we paid more than GH₵70,000 for the stadium," stated Chief Abiola, raising questions about the accuracy of the NSA's information.

Adding to the complexity, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George, disclosed that he had paid GH₵169,000 for a separate event, further challenging the NSA's statement regarding Stonebwoy's payment. The conflicting figures have intensified concerns about potential discrepancies in the financial dealings of the NSA.
