In an interview on 3Music TV's 3hread Special, Ghanaian musician Deri opened up about his journey in the music industry and the release of his latest EP, WITHOUT A MAP. Describing himself as an Afrobeat artiste and songwriter, Deri revealed that he has been professionally making music for the past three years.

Deri's path to releasing WITHOUT A MAP was marked by a series of singles that paved the way for the EP. These included ATTITUDE, TOUCH, KUMASI, and WISHLIST. The six-track EP features a notable collaboration with KelvynBoy on the track NOBODY. Deri shared that Brainybeatz facilitated the collaboration by reaching out to KelvynBoy, who completed his verse in just three days. The two artistes later met to create content for the song, a process Deri found both exciting and rewarding.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind WITHOUT A MAP, Deri explained that the title symbolizes his journey of self-discovery. Despite lacking a clear roadmap, he has managed to navigate the challenges and reach his current position in the music industry. This theme of perseverance and finding one's way is central to the EP.

Deri expressed his excitement about the success of WITHOUT A MAP, which has garnered over 2 million streams across various platforms since its release in 2023. He is optimistic about the future and promises more great things to come, urging fans to stay tuned.

One of the highlights of Deri's career so far has been his collaboration with KelvynBoy. He recounted how KelvynBoy's humility and professionalism stood out, making the experience memorable and enjoyable.

Looking ahead, Deri expressed a desire to work with a range of Ghanaian talents, both emerging and established. If he had to choose, his dream collaborations would include Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, and Lasmid. Deri's journey is a testament to his resilience and dedication, and fans can look forward to more music from him in the future.
