Fans at home and in attendance have
expressed their frustrations over Frank Ocean’s Coachella performance of which they
had high expectations. Although there was an air of satisfaction over his public
appearance due to his evasive nature, the logistics and scheduling of the
performance were among some of the few issues that prevented it from being a
fully satisfying experience.
According to reports on the festival, Frank showed up an hour late and sustained an injury during his performance. However, it wasn’t all bad reviews as he revealed to the fans his plans of releasing an album soon.
“It’s been so long. Everybody talks about how long it’s been. ‘It’s been so long; it’s been so long.’ But I have missed you,” he said. “I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because — not that there’s not a new album… but there’s not right now. Chill, chill, chill. No, it’s not right now.”
However, he has since pulled out of week 2 of Coachella and will be replaced by Blink 182 as a headliner.
It
has been confirmed in a new statement released by Frank Ocean and his team that
he will not be making an appearance at weekend 2 of the Coachella. “Frank Ocean
will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella. After suffering an injury to
his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1,” the statement
said.
