The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a warning to Ghanaians as the air quality in Accra has been ranked as the worst in the world on the Air Quality Index. This concerning ranking comes amidst the ongoing harmattan season, which exacerbates the risks of contracting diseases.

Felicity Ahianyo, the Head of the Central Analysis and Forecasting Unit of the Ghana Meteorological Agency, emphasized the importance of wearing protective nose masks to shield against the harmful effects of dust. The agency highlights that the dust particles in Ghana's airspace can lead to the spread of dust-related diseases.
