Ghana has impressively hosted the 13th African Games, garnering recognition and praise from Sunday Dare, a former Nigerian Minister for Youth and Sports. Dare expressed surprise at Ghana's ability to overcome challenges and turn the situation around in just ten months. Dare, who was involved in the process, acknowledged that Ghana faced difficulties and seemed unlikely to host the Games when they requested extra time. However, he commended Ghana's determination and hard work in developing top-notch facilities. During an interview in Accra, Dare thanked Ghana's President and Minister for Sports for their crucial roles in the successful hosting of the Games. He praised their vision and dedication, highlighting the new stadium at the University of Ghana and the Games village as evidence of Ghana's commitment. Dare, who chaired the African Union team involved in granting Ghana the extension, expressed satisfaction with Ghana.
