The
Ghanaian music industry is becoming more competitive and to be noticed as an up-and-coming
star is a privilege to most undergrounds.
Many
had the opportunity to catch the public’s eye but lost it due to various
misfortunes. Those who happen to secure and maintain the spotlight strives and
make the most out of the opportunity.
Lynx
Entertainment signee Boijake believes he is on the path to staying loyal to
himself, leaving a respectable legacy, and avoiding being easily swayed as he strives
to the top. According to the fast-rising
musician, even though the spotlight is glamorous, if individuals are not
careful, they run the risk of being lost in it.
He
spoke to 3Music TV at the outdooring of Lynx Entertainment’s EP dubbed “Coming
Soon.”
“I
think it’s easy to get lost in the limelight but always remember where you come
from. Because no matter how bright the lights get they can go off again. So you
need to remember who you are. When it’s all said and done what will people remember
you as? And that’s something that’s stuck with me. So no matter what the
situation is I have to be true to myself. And not do things because there are people
watching. That’s one thing that’s stuck with me since.”
Boijake
also expressed his joy and mentioned how helpful the label has been to him so
far.
“It’s
been an amazing journey. Being on a label like Lynx Entertainment doesn’t get
better than this. It’s been educative within the little time we’ve been with
them. And to be able to drop an EP on this magnitude and all these people
showing us love it is incredible.”
He
further requests continued support from his global fan base.
Lynx
entertainment unveiled their next
crop of artists with the release of their debut COMING SOON EP.
