Recent reports have brought to light a lawsuit accusing actor Jamie Foxx of involvement in a disturbing incident that allegedly occurred back in August 2015 at Catch NYC & Roof, a popular rooftop lounge and bar in New York City. The lawsuit details an account where Foxx was present at the venue around 11 PM, seated a table away from the plaintiff.
As per the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff recounts that around 1 AM, she and her friend approached Foxx, requesting a photo with him. Allegedly appearing intoxicated, Foxx obliged, making complimentary remarks about her appearance and reportedly making comments like "You smell so good" and comparing her to actress Gabrielle Union.
The lawsuit then describes a distressing turn of events, alleging that Foxx led the plaintiff to a secluded area of the rooftop, where he purportedly made unwanted physical advances. According to the plaintiff, Foxx touched her inappropriately by placing his hands on her waist, moving them beneath her clothing to touch her breasts. Further accusations involve Foxx allegedly placing his hand inside her pants, touching her intimate areas, before ceasing when the plaintiff's friend intervened upon witnessing the incident.
The plaintiff asserts that she suffered physical and emotional harm due to the alleged assault, necessitating medical treatment and causing considerable pain and distress. Consequently, she has filed a lawsuit against Foxx, Catch NYC & Roof, and their staff, seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
These allegations underscore the seriousness of the situation and the importance of addressing claims of sexual assault, emphasizing the need for thorough investigation and appropriate legal action. It's essential to approach such sensitive matters with care, empathy, and respect for all involved parties while seeking justice and accountability.
