Kanye West has been named as a suspect in a battery investigation following a heated exchange with a photographer that resulted in Kanye grabbing and throwing the woman's phone.
"You're famous!" exclaims the woman. But that's enough for Ye, who grabs the woman's phone and throws it into the street. He then climbs into his SUV, where his wife, Bianca Censori, waits patiently.
The incident happened while the rapper was on his way to the basketball games of his daughter North and son Saint. Kanye West, on the other hand, has begged to be left alone more than once today. In another part of the video, after getting back into his car, he pulled up in front of a group of paparazzi who were filming the entire incident.
"Do you want me to show up at your kids' games like that?" the rapper told the paparazzi, who attempted to defend himself by claiming that "there are a hundred of us."
"Everyone needs to come to a halt when I see my children. You can't photograph me if I need to see my kids," West continued. "It's known as human rights."
According to TMZ, a law enforcement source says Kanye is the named suspect in a battery investigation after Ventura County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene around 4:30 PM and were shown video evidence of the incident. It's unclear whether the woman is a professional photographer or was simply filming Ye as a citizen.
Watch the videos; Ye is clearly upset, accusing the woman of following him while continuing to record. https://twitter.com/dailyloud/status/1619357551925288960?s=46&t=l4dHzX0brIuLjKH3SvtGOw
