Kendrick Lamar has jumped into action after Top Dawg Entertainment bigwig Terrence Punch Henderson playfully poked fun at him over a flashy Chanel photo session.
In a recent exchange shared by Punch on X, the TDE honcho displayed their banter over Kendrick's striking Chanel shoot from earlier this year.
Punch slid Kendrick a snapshot from the shoot, hitting him up with a casual "What's good, bro?" Kendrick, always game for a laugh, replied with a string of laughing emojis and quipped, “Hey, I'm feeling myself in those pics. Couldn’t resist.”
Punch, not one to let up, prodded Kendrick about his "dreamy eyes," prompting K. Dot to confess, “I couldn’t help it, man.”
Finally, Punch, probably dying of laughter, begged, “Bro, let me post this! This is gold!” And it seems Kendrick gave him the green light.
Kendrick Lamar's Chanel rendezvous was captured by Malick Bodian back in January, coinciding with his attendance at Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2024 fashion extravaganza in Paris.
Adding another feather to his cap, Kendrick also put his creative genius to work designing the set for the show, alongside his longtime collaborator Dave Free.
Kendrick’s ties with the fashion elite don't stop there. He dropped jaws by debuting a new track in a short film accompanying Chanel's Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Word on the street is it's a bit of a departure for Kendrick, leaning more towards rock than his usual rap stylings it is said that it might go by the name I FEEL SOMETHING.
Additionally, Kendrick breaking his public silence with Punch is big news, especially coming on the heels of his apparent peace pact with Drake earlier this month.
Snoop Dogg, always one to keep it real, refused to pick sides in the Drake-Kendrick tiff but couldn’t help but shower both with praise for elevating the game with their lyrical sparring.
“I gotta hand it to both of 'em for upping the ante on lyrics, songwriting, and creativity since their showdown,” Snoop told Entertainment Tonight.
He added, “Those are my boys. I ain’t getting caught up in the drama. I got love for both, but that’s their thing.”
Snoop capped it off with a shoutout, “They brought back real rap. No more mumbling and gimmicks. Thank you, fellas.”
