Following the release of his most recent EP, 21 MEMORY LANE, his BET Cypher feature and his most recent single FREE THROW featuring Joey B, Ghanaian rapper, Ko-Jo Cue is set to gives fans yet another masterpiece - I'M BACK. The rap star who went on a social media break for months has announced his return with the news. Speaking to NY DJ on BTM Afrika, Ko-Jo Cue took the opportunity to explain the cause of his social media absence.
“I took a social media break just to recalibrate and also to live life. I realized that social media sometimes gives you a tunnel vision and you’re ignoring everything else that’s happening in the real world and for the kind of music I make especially, I need to always understand what’s happening in the real world, I had to experience life. I just felt like taking that much time off. Initially, it was supposed to be just one but it was so peaceful,” he said.
The rapper held a private listening session with officials from Boomplay Ghana and 3Music Networks to share his forthcoming body of work which is expected to be released on the 16th November and according to him, is to appease expectant fans who have been looking forward to hearing from him all year.
According to him, the EP is him getting back into his PLK (Punchline King) bag for a bit just to let them know that he's him. "I can do this. I think people forget. I go there and after that, I give them what they’ve been asking for for a long time which is the For My Brothers Concert", he said.
He also revealed that this is a prelude to his album which is still in the works, and a reminder that Cue is that guy, when it comes to Rap. The EP features some Ghanaian heavyweights who have made a name for themselves in contemporary times and is one for the books. He revealed the tracklist and features on his X profile and has got fans excited and in anticipation of the project.
