Kotoko fans, are you worried sick about the team's recent performance? Well, you're not alone! Captain Danlad Ibrahim feels your pain, and wants you to know the players are hurting too.
Remember how strong Kotoko started the season? They were title contenders after the first round! But lately, things have gone downhill faster than a runaway waakye seller. They haven't won a single game in their last seven matches, and have even tumbled down to 11th place in the league. No wonder fans are fired up – some even protested at the training grounds!
Things got so serious that the players and coaches had a heart-to-heart with the club's big boss, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Danlad, speaking for the whole team, threw himself on the fans' mercy and admitted their recent performance has been a total let down. He even confessed that some players are losing sleep over this slump!
But here's the good news: Danlad promised they're all working their socks off to turn things around. "We messed up, and we know it," he said in a recent interview. "We owe it to the fans, who deserve much better. This situation is killing us too, but we're committed to getting back on track. We'll be working harder than ever, and staying laser-focused on that next win."
Kotoko has a chance to break this losing streak this Sunday against Samartex. Here's hoping they can bounce back and show the league what they're really made of!
