A 22-year-old woman in Brazil has accused Manchester United winger Antony of domestic violence.
In a police report filed in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Monday 5th June, the winger is accused of assault, inflicting bodily injuries and threatening behavior. According to the report, there are multiple allegations of violence against the woman in question said to have occurred at a nightclub in Sao Paulo in July of 2022.
There are also reports of a second incident which took place in 2023 where the accuser alleges that she was attacked by Antony leading to surgery from injuries she sustained in the process.
A police report which includes a photograph of a scar on her hand sustained from a cut on glass broken by the winger from one of two other incidents which allegedly took place in England. The lady also cites instances of threats by the winger on her life in a phone call on the 20th of May.
The lady in question has since sought urgent protective measures from Brazilian authorities following her decision to discontinue contact with the player since May 28 2023.
Giving the gravity of the
accusations levelled against the winger and the trend of outcomes in and
outside of the league, there is the possibility of career altering consequences
if found guilty.
