Ghanaian actress and fashion icon, Nana Akua Addo has taken a strong stance against a Nigerian designer who she claims has made defamatory remarks about her personal life and career.
According to sources close to the matter, the designer, Olivia Ezzine, made some unflattering comments about Nana Akua Addo's outfit for the AMVCA, which she claims have caused her significant emotional distress and reputational damage.
Nana Akua Addo's team has issued a statement demanding a retraction and apology from the designer, giving them 14 days to comply before taking legal action.
"We will not tolerate any form of defamation or slander against our client," the statement reads. "We demand a retraction and an apology within 14 days, or we will take legal action to the fullest extent of the law."
The designer is said to be taking the threat seriously and is considering her next move.
This development has sparked a heated debate in the entertainment industry, with many calling for an end to defamation and slander against celebrities.
The outcome of this matter is yet to be seen, but one thing is clear: Nana Akua Addo will not be bullied or defamed without a fight.
