Two-time GRAMMY nominated singer, songwriter, producer and activist Rocky Dawuni was with the 3Music team earlier this week on the Unpackin. segment of the Culture Daily Show with Lerny Lomotey. While there, he opened up about a number of things from personal, to social and political issues. Speaking on his person, he addressed his Longevity of his brand and how he has been able to maintain his relevance till date.
He revealed how his personal drive towards excellence and a constant need to learn new things and to be innovative have advanced him as a musician and contributed to the success of his brand and his career. He also hinted on the need to put effort into one's creative process at any point in time as it is a major contributor to any artiste or creative's appeal. According to him, every artiste needs to have a vision to inform the amount of sacrifice and energy they put into manifesting their dreams.
He also revealed that he would be releasing an album sometime in 2024. Although he did not give the details of exactly when it would be, he gave context to his project which according to him is set to address the economic hardships and the social struggles of the general populace. HE also shared his opinions on the current economic situation in Ghana, acknowledging how tough it is on the people, the leadership and households in general. He called for investments in the youth, a national plan and more action that talk.
