Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in federal prison, following his conviction on two counts of transportation with intent to engage in prostitution. The sentencing marks a significant development in one of the most high-profile celebrity cases in recent years.
According to court documents, the 50-month sentence includes 14 months already served, meaning Combs will spend an additional 36 months behind bars. The judge also imposed a $500,000 fine and ordered five years of supervised release once he completes his prison term.
The case stems from federal charges involving the transportation of women, including former partner Cassie Ventura and another victim identified as “Jane,” for the purpose of prostitution. Combs was acquitted of more severe counts, including racketeering and sex trafficking, which could have resulted in a longer sentence.
During the sentencing, Combs addressed the court, expressing remorse for his actions and apologizing to the victims. The judge, however, emphasized the seriousness of the crimes and the lasting harm caused.
This verdict marks a major fall from grace for the 55-year-old entrepreneur, producer, and rapper, who built an empire through music, fashion, and business ventures. Combs’ legal team has indicated plans to appeal the conviction.
The sentencing adds another chapter to the ongoing controversy surrounding Diddy, who has faced multiple lawsuits and allegations of misconduct in recent years.
