Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has announced plans to host a free annual concert for inmates at Nsawam Prison, extending his long-standing commitment to philanthropy and social impact.
The announcement was made during his recent outreach visit to the facility, where he spent time with inmates and donated essential items alongside his wife and team. The initiative is expected to become a yearly tradition aimed at bringing hope, entertainment and emotional relief to inmates.
The concert will reportedly take place at Nsawam Medium Security Prison, where Stonebwoy plans to perform live for inmates as part of efforts to use music as a tool for rehabilitation and encouragement.
While details such as the exact date for the first edition have not yet been disclosed, the artiste confirmed that the initiative will be sustained annually, reinforcing his commitment to using his platform for humanitarian causes.
Stonebwoy has over the years been involved in several charitable activities, including donations to hospitals, communities and vulnerable groups, with this latest move further solidifying his reputation as one of Ghana’s most socially conscious musicians.
The announcement has already generated positive reactions from fans and observers, who have praised the gesture as a meaningful step toward prison reform advocacy and inmate welfare through creative arts.
