Ghana's music scene just got a whole lot messier! Popular dancehall artist Shatta Wale is under fire for mocking his fellow musician Stonebwoy's disability during the recent Eid celebrations. The Ghana Society of Physically Disabled (GSPD) is demanding an apology, but Wale's not backing down without a fight!
In a video that's gone viral, Wale throws some serious shade at Stonebwoy, and it's not cool. The GSPD slammed Wale's comments as insensitive and disrespectful, reminding everyone that making fun of disabilities is a big no-no and even illegal under Ghana's Disability Act. They want Wale to say sorry publicly and take down the video.
But Wale's having none of it. In another video, he basically tells the GSPD to mind their own business. He even questioned why there are so many random associations out there, like one for unemployed people. Wale seems to be digging his heels in, saying he won't apologize because he's a problem himself – whatever that means!
This whole situation is a major buzzkill. Here's hoping Wale chills out, listens to the GSPD, and throws out a proper apology. Nobody deserves to be mocked for a disability, and Wale should be setting a better example for his fans.
