Artiste Manager, Nii Noi, in a discussion on the Growth Status of the Gospel Music Industry, said in a quest to revive the industry, the industry players are having behind the scene conversations with churches like ICGC and the Church of Pentecost to invest in gospel music.
Attesting to the current situation of the gospel music industry, the artistes have come to acknowledge the online streaming platform where their music is being streamed and marketed.
Nii Noi said the church is one of the means of marketing gospel music since it has the numbers. He mentioned that "We are talking to people behind the scenes, there are some structures that are very very complicated like ICGC."
He also said he has had several conversations with the Music Pastor who said he will consider his idea. There are also conversations with several other churches.
Gospel promoter, Frank Owusu, also acknowledged the record label set by Pastor Chris of Christ Embassy to promote the likes of Sinach, Moses Bliss and others.
However, MzGee said there is no deliberate effort by most churches in the country to project members who are gospel singers. She applauded Apostle General of the Royal House Chapel, Sam Korankye Ankrah for giving MOG and other singers from the church the chance to perform during service and also introducing them to the congregation.
MzGee further called on the church to project singers who are members of the church.
