Ghanaian artiste Teddy Skillz recently shared his decade-long journey in the music industry on 3Music TV's 3hread Special. Reflecting on his early days, Teddy revealed that his passion for music ignited during his senior high school years. Over time, he has carved out a niche for himself by staying true to his originality and identity.

Teddy recounted how his father, who wrote his own songs and sang in church, played a pivotal role in his decision to pursue music. When his father discovered Teddy's talent for rapping, he recognized it as a family trait and offered unwavering support. This encouragement laid the foundation for Teddy's career, which has seen significant growth and evolution.

Teddy highlighted his progression as an artiste, noting that his rapping style has matured considerably. Initially rapping exclusively in Twi, he has since incorporated Ga, Pidgin, and English into his music, aiming to create a unique sound that resonates with a broader audience. 

Commenting on the rap scene in Ghana, Teddy expressed optimism about its development. He acknowledged the increasing acceptance of rap music in the industry and is confident that Ghanaian rap will continue to gain prominence.

Teddy also introduced his new single, KAA LAKA MI, which translates to "Don't Lie to Me." He explained that the song addresses themes of heartbreak and trust issues, resonating with those who have been hurt in past relationships. Teddy believes the message is timely and relevant for many listeners.

Looking to the future, Teddy expressed his desire to collaborate with Ghanaian artistes Kweku Smoke, Lyrical Joe, and Stonebwoy. As he continues to grow and refine his craft, fans can expect more heartfelt and authentic music from Teddy Skillz.
