The 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards took place on Saturday, 6th May 2023 at the Grand Arena. The night for the celebration of Ghana Music had many personalities across the country clad in stunning, show-stopping, jaw-dropping, avant-garde outfits.
In no particular order, we have our top 10 best dressed for the night.
The six-time host of the VGMA, Berla Mundi, was adorned in a beautiful well-fitting silver gown with a cape, showing a little cleavage. Berla's gown was designed by YartelGh. The outfit was her first of three dresses for the night.
Anita Akua Akuffo
The media personality showed up on the red carpet in a kente gown, proudly representing the colours of the nation - red, yellow, green and black. The Kente outfit was put together by Adwoa Yeboah Clothing.
Actor, James Gardiner, had his second outfit making it to the top 10 best dressed. James Gardiner who was one of the hosts for the event, was seen in an all white ensemble -trousers, a stylish caftan from Legends Bespoke, complete with sneakers and a broche to accentuate the look.
Awarding winning rapper, Sarkodie, performed in an all white suit with an embroidered double-breasted blazer, looking dapper as usual. Sarkodie’s
almost 15,000 cedis appearance could not go unnoticed.
Media personality, Ms. Flava, stood tall in a black beaded side cutout gown put together by Xesi Apparel. Her flawless makeup came together with a classic red lipstick.
Television presenter, Adwoa Noella, was dressed in an outfit pieced together by Rex Kojo Couture and styled by Angel Delah Mensah and Grex the Beader. The beautiful lady, turned heads in her gorgeous midi, heavily-beaded and feathered red dress, tied in beautifully with kente in the back.
Naa Ashorkor, one of the hosts for the night, was garbed in an outfit made by Pistis. In her second of three dresses for the night, Naa Ashorkor looked stunning in an ankle-length brocade and lace dress, with statement-making sleeves and one-sided frails from the waist down.
Nana Ama McBrown
Actress, Nana Ama McBrown showed up in splendour. She wore a gorgeous black and brown low hip gown, accentuated with beads and completed with a brown and black print bag. Her outfit was designed by Xesi Apparel, styled by Neals Davids and Franc Dzah.
The Sugarcane hitmaker and award-winning artiste made his VGMA appearance in a colourful floral suit, paired with bow tie, clean shoes, ebony black trousers, glasses from Ashluxe and his hair held up in Bantu knots.
The Artiste of the Year rolled in in an all black, gold-buttoned ensemble, topping that off with Free The Youth accessories and high boots.
