In a recent Instagram post, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez who made headlines in the news for several months at a time and is currently serving time after being found guilty in the shooting of fellow artiste Megan Thee Stallion shared updates on his current state and assured the fans of a new release regardless of his current situation.
Almost a year later since he was found guilty of the
shooting incident against Megan Thee Stallion, the Canadian rapper is said to be
spending time in jail without a sentence following failed attempts by his
defense to disqualify the presiding judge and his ruling on the matter. Between
a recently rescheduled court date and prosecutors doing everything within their
power to ensure the rapper receives maximum sentence, matters only seem to be
getting worse for the “say it” hitmaker.
However, Sunday the rapper’s Instagram got buzzing with messages from fans and well-wishers following a message from the rapper about his wellbeing and the announcement of new music.
In a note that read “To my Family, my Friends, and to the Umbellas
worldwide, I want y’all to know I haven’t lost my faith in God and that I’m in
high spirits,” Lanez wrote in a screenshot from his Notes app. “I’m praying for
the best and remain confident that God will bring me through this. I have spent
the last seven months rehabilitating my mind, my body, and my soul,” the
R&B star went on to share. “Though I came to jail a good person, I will
leave as a great person. I’ve turned this jail cell into my work office.”, the rapper assured fans
that his current predicament was not going to hinder him from serving them as
regularly as he used to and that he was making the best of it.
He
concluded by announcing the release of his collaboration with Yoko Gold titled “Hurts
Me” which is currently out on all DSPs.
