Ukrainian Model Files Complaint Against Cannes Festival After Alleged Assault By Security Guard

Ukrainian model and FashionTV presenter Sawa Pontyjska has filed a complaint against the organizers of the Cannes Film Festival, alleging she was assaulted by a security guard on the red carpet. Pontyjska claims she was violently restrained while attempting to enter the cinema with a valid ticket and is seeking €100,000 in damages for physical and psychological harm.

The incident, which occurred on May 21, was captured on video. The footage shows Pontyjska being confronted by the guard, struggling and nearly falling before being dragged away by additional security personnel.

Despite the widespread attention the incident has received, Pontyjska has yet to receive a response from the festival organizers who have declined to comment on the matter. The same security guard was reportedly involved in other incidents during the festival, including altercations with singer Kelly Rowland and actresses Yoona & Massiel Taveras.
