Buzzing Ghanaian musician Yhaw Hero has taken the daring step of using earnings from his music streaming to pay for the tuition of one Ghanaian student.
The musician, who is still establishing himself in the music industry, resorted to social media to express his regret at the rate at which tertiary students committed suicide for a variety of reasons. It takes place against the backdrop of a KNUST student attempting suicide but being rescued by his housemates.
Yhaw Hero noted in a tweet how his successful song 19 Years resonated with the hardships of a young adult navigating life. "My song 19 Years talks about the stress of a young adult, and it hurts to see students trying to take their lives," he tweeted. As part of a personal attempt to alleviate the load, I have decided to contribute my first revenue from the album to pay for one student's school costs."
Fans, industry thought leaders, and music executives like as Kwadwo Sheldon, Sergio Manucho, and Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh (NYB) have applauded this endeavor. Yhaw Hero is already affecting people despite the fact that he is still ascending the musical ladder.
