Amaarae Shuts Down Flow Festival Helsinki 2025

Amaarae Shuts Down Flow Festival Helsinki 2025
Amaarae
Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae lit up the stage at Flow Festival Helsinki 2025, delivering a captivating performance that earned rave reviews and sealed her reputation as one of the most exciting voices of contemporary music.

Amaarae took to Flow’s Black Tent on Sunday, August 10th at 20:30, following stellar shows from international heavyweights like Fontaines D.C., Charli XCX, and Khruangbin.

Known for her distinctive soprano tone and genre-defying blend of pop, R&B, afrobeats, and alté, Amaarae delivered a performance that was both playful and emotionally resonant. She followed up on her groundbreaking Coachella appearance and continued showcasing her artistry on an international stage.

Her appearance in Helsinki comes on the heels of other major highlights this year, including:
Making history as the first Ghanaian artist to perform a solo set at Coachella 2025, where she celebrated Ghanaian music, waved her homeland’s flag, and dramatically cut her hair onstage.
Launching anticipation for her upcoming album Black Star, set to drop this summer.
She infused her set with pride in her heritage—just as she did at Coachella—creating a moving and relatable performance.

Bringing her genre-bending sound and visual flair to Flow, Amaarae stood out even among a lineup full of stars.
This performance isn’t just a highlight of the festival—it marks a new peak in her evolving global impact.
Amaarae didn’t just perform at Flow Festival—she shut it down, melding confidence, artistry, and cultural expression into a defining moment of the weekend.
