Fatawu Issahaku Makes Premier League Statement Against Manchester United

Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku produced a standout performance for Ipswich Town in their Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford, setting up his side’s opening goal in a 5-2 defeat.

Fatawu’s moment came in the 29th minute when he created space on the right before picking out Leif Davis, who finished brilliantly from inside the penalty area to give Ipswich the lead. The assist was officially recorded as Fatawu’s first of the season.

The Ghana international was a constant threat during his 83 minutes on the pitch, with his pace and direct running causing problems for Manchester United’s defence.

He was particularly impressive in the build-up to Davis’ goal, with reports highlighting how he used his speed and skill to get past Luke Shaw before delivering the decisive pass.

He also recorded three successful dribbles, two key passes and also created two big chances in the first half, underlining his attacking influence despite Ipswich eventually losing control of the game.

Manchester United responded through Bruno Fernandes, who scored a hat-trick as the hosts overturned Ipswich’s early advantage before adding further goals through an own goal and Bryan Mbeumo.

Ipswich pulled one back late through Chuba Akpom, but the damage had already been done.
